Unicar
Unicar is a monorail conveyor system ideally suited for Healthcare, Industrial and Library applications. The system transports horizontally, vertically, and at any gradient throughout a facility on a network of low-profile track. The autonomous cars, or trolleys, can travel to and from anywhere on the network.
In the UK, the principle application for Unicar is Healthcare; specifically for bulk sample transportation within Laboratory facilities. With it’s standard payload of up to 15kg, Unicar is able to transport payloads that are too large for pneumatic tube, but too small for other automated intralogistic solutions.
With the ongoing consolidation of NHS Pathology services, Unicar has already found applications within laboratory facilities serving NHS. In Bristol, Southmead the installation has been running for several years. More recently a new central laboratory facility in a tower-block building has chosen Unicar as the intralogistics solution.
Unicar is also ideally suited to commercial and industrial operations where payloads up to 15kg need to be transported. Unicar also integrates with Library automated materials handling systems for book transportation

Unicar Closed with Locking Lid
Trolley models H10, W10 and W15 have been specially developed for transport duties within hospitals. They are the perfect solution for quick, reliable and secure transport of healthcare materials and specimens throughout the facility. An antimicrobial surface coating prevents the growth and spread of most bacteria and germs over a long period of time.
Unicar Open - Self-levelling
The open UniCar trolleys are loaded and unloaded manually and are designed to handle sensitive goods in hospitals, industry and libraries. The key feature of the Unicar self-levelling trolleys is that the payload is always kept upright, ensuring safe transport of delicate payloads.
Unicar for Automated Laboratories
For automated laboratory intralogistics, it is important that samples arrive reliably and quickly at their destination for analysis. At the same time, high hygiene standards apply and transports must be carried out gently so as not to contaminate the laboratory results. Unicar may be integrated with automation control systems using either RFID or Barcode integrations.
Unicar for Libraries
The UniSortCar has been specially developed for use in libraries. It provides ongoing simplification of book sorting, as books can be pre-sorted and transported to all storeys and all sections of the library.
