From Cash Carriers to Modern Systems: Author Visit to Quirepace HQ

We recently welcomed Andrew Buxton to our HQ, author of Cash Carriers in Shops and a lifelong enthusiast of historic cash handling systems.

The visit was particularly interesting given Quirepace’s historical ties to the original Lamson company, pioneers of early cash carrier systems that Andrew has written about.

During his visit, we gave Andrew a tour of our facilities and demonstrated how pneumatic systems are used in practice today. While once common in retail environments, this technology is now widely used in healthcare settings, particularly within NHS hospitals, where it supports the safe and efficient transport of blood samples and medical supplies.

Andrew also had the opportunity to see a working system in action, providing a clear view of how the technology operates in a modern environment.

It was a very enjoyable visit, and we would like to thank Andrew for taking the time to come and see us.
