Taggarts car dealership in Maryhill, Glasgow recently built a new showroom and workshop on their existing site. The new workshop is located towards the rear of the site approximately 50m from the showroom.

During daily activity documentation, keys and other small payloads have to be transported continually between the service receptions of the three franchises and the workshop control office.

To avoid personnel having to walk between the buildings, Taggarts chose to install a Quirepace Neptune Pneumatic Tube System with Luna stations located in each of the Land Rover, Volvo and Jaguar showrooms all connected back to the central workshop control office.

The Luna station was chosen because its neat appearance complements the showroom environment and its automatic operation simplifies use and maximises performance.

With the tube system installed, it now takes less than a minute to transport anything that will fit inside the carrier up to 1kg in weight across the site. When the carriers arrive in the workshop control office, different coloured end caps differentiate the sending department.
